Taylor Swift”T Radiates Joy at 2nd Sydney Show and Shares Heartwarming Texts with Sabrina Carpenter”

The 34-year-old “Daylight” singer delighted an estimated 81,000 spectators on Saturday night at her second performance at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, and it was filled with tender moments right from the start.

A fan video that Swift put on X (previously known as Twitter) had her talking to the crowd about her “incredible opening act” and included a beautiful text exchange she had with Sabrina Carpenter prior to her Saturday performance.

“The “Blank Space” singer told the Sydney crowd, “I texted Sabrina and said, ‘How are they out there?’ and her response was ‘Extremely lit and amazing.'” Carpenter, 24, then asked the audience to “give it up.”  Another occasion, which was recorded on camera and shared on X, showed the artist performing live to applause from the crowd. “Ah Sydney, you are just … right off the bat you’re making me feel so … just extraordinary right now,” she stated to the audience.

The spectators in every sector of the stadium roared as Swift then tenderly pointed her finger at them and swept her arm across the venue. “Wow, it was amazing. She laughed and gave her bicep a playful kiss. “I’m not going to lie to you, you just made me feel really, really powerful,” she continued. Actress Rebel Wilson, who announced her attendance on her Instagram Story in advance of the performance, was one of the spectators on Saturday.

“@taylorswift we are ready for it,” she captioned a selfie video, and then she posted additional videos of her pre-show celebrations at Accor Stadium.

A picture of Wilson, 43, watching the event from what looked to be the VIP tent was later posted on a fan page on X.  Rain and a nearby lightning strike caused the venue to postpone her first engagement on Friday. The arena floor had to be cleared before the 34-year-old Swift took the stage.

The start time of the show has been delayed owing to inclement weather. Until further notice, remain hidden and heed staff and venue screens’ directions. Prior to Swift’s performance, the stadium released a message saying, “Remain safe and always remember to be kind to those around you.”

Despite the weather, the “Come in with the Rain” singer and her Swifties continued with the event.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, she took the stage at 7:50 p.m. local time. However, the delay prevented her supporting act, Carpenter, from performing.  Carpenter, 24, performed a mashup of “White Horse” and “Coney Island” with Swift on stage instead of her solo set.

Swift revealed a new version of her upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department during her first Sydney performance.

“I believe that I needed to make it more than any of my previous albums. For me, it truly served as a lifeline. Simply the experiences I was having and the topics I was writing about,” she said, referring to the impending album to the audience. “It kind of reminded me of why songwriting was something that actually gets me through my life.”  Swift’s well-known pals have already filled Sydney’s theaters. Rita Ora, Katy Perry, and her husband Taika Waititi were seen at Accor Stadium on Friday night.

Her farewell performance in Sydney is scheduled for this Sunday night, local time.
