Although the two rappers’ representatives did not immediately reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment, Cardi appeared to reaffirm that she was single throughout the weekend of December 9.
On Instagram Live, the rapper opened up, saying, “I’ve been single for a minute now.” A recording of the webcast was posted on X.
“But I have been afraid,” she said. I simply don’t know how to tell the world—I’m not terrified. However, I believe that today has been a sign.
Cardi revealed that she is “curious for a new life, for a new beginning” and that she wishes to begin the new year “fresh” and “open.” Indeed, I’m thrilled.
