(usartical) Houston — According to documents, Beyoncé’s childhood home caught fire early on Christmas morning, leaving the present family residing there without a place to live.
Just after two in the morning, according to Houston firemen, they were called to a house fire on Rosedale, just of Highway 288
According to HFD District Chief Justin Barnes, the family had already left the house safely when fire crews arrived on the scene. The home’s second story was where the fire was coming from. When fire crews arrived at the scene, the family who lived in the home had already gotten out safely.”“My first thought was they have little children so we came out and there was no indication that there was any tragedy so we watched and prayed for the best,” neighbor Jack May told KHOU 11. “I heard emergency responders cutting a hole in the roof of the home this morning and saw the flames,” May said. “Firefighters were able to get to the fire quickly and no injuries were reported, but at least one side of the home was severely damaged.” Despite the broken windows and debris outside, the home may look familiar to some.
It is well known that Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, a native of Houston, grew up there. The megastar’s house has already appeared in documentaries and motion pictures.
When Knowles-Carter and her mother Tina visited Houston for the Texas leg of the “Renaissance” world tour in September, they were seen taking pictures in front of the house.
It’s weird that Beyoncé tourists are always here, May said. “This house was for sale in ’93 which was when the Knowles moved out and we took a look at it but ultimately didn’t go forward with it.”
For the benefit of the now-displaced family residing in the house, May expressed his hope that the Christmas morning fire won’t cause any further publicity.
“Well, hopefully it
