Just hours after Page Six broke the news of Leah McSweeney filing a lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo, the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star launched a scathing attack on the pair, calling them “diabolical.” In a late-night Instagram post on Tuesday, McSweeney expressed her concerns about the reality TV industry, accusing those in power of exploiting the misfortunes of women, including herself.
In her federal court lawsuit, the 41-year-old alleged that Bravo took advantage of her intoxication during production and accused Andy Cohen, the “King of Bravo,” of engaging in drug use with a select group. In response, a representative for Cohen refuted the claims, stating they are “completely false.”
Undeterred, McSweeney reiterated her stance on Instagram, condemning Bravo for fostering a toxic work environment. She accused the network of supporting drug abuse to fabricate drama and callously taking advantage of employees’ weaknesses. The Married to the Mob designer revealed that she shared personal tales in her complaint that she had been hesitant to disclose before, but now feels strong enough to face the consequences.
This legal dispute adds to Bravo and Cohen’s ongoing legal challenges, with former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member Caroline Manzo filing a similar lawsuit a few weeks prior. Manzo claimed that the network allowed sexual harassment to occur during production.
Bravo’s troubles also include a formal letter from Brandi Glanville, who accused Cohen of inappropriate behavior. Cohen expressed regret for his remark, but Glanville’s lawyers labeled it as sexual harassment, calling for accountability.
As the legal battles unfold, questions are raised about workplace practices within the reality TV industry, putting a spotlight on Bravo and Cohen’s actions. Stay tuned for further developments in this controversial lawsuit.
