In a recent episode of Josh Smith’s “Reign” podcast, Swedish actress Rebecca Ferguson candidly shared her experience of facing disrespect on set, drawing support from former co-stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt. The revelation unfolded on Monday when Ferguson discussed an altercation with an unnamed co-star who exhibited irrational behavior during the filming of a project.
Dwayne Johnson, expressing his support on the now-defunct Twitter platform X, referred to Ferguson as his “guardian angel sent from heaven.” He condemned the disrespectful behavior, stating, “Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls–t. On our set, Rebecca was my guardian angel sent straight from above. I adore that gal. I’m curious to know who carried out this.” The duo had previously collaborated in the 2014 motion picture “Hercules.”

Fans speculated on the identity of the alleged disrespectful co-star, and many messages of support flooded social media for Ferguson. Despite the speculations, there is no indication of animosity between Ferguson and her other high-profile co-stars, including Emily Blunt.
Blunt’s representative, responding to the Daily Mail, affirmed the camaraderie between Blunt and Ferguson, stating, “Emma and Rebecca are pals.”
During the podcast, Ferguson detailed the distressing encounter, highlighting the co-star’s irrational behavior and emotional outbursts. She emphasized feeling exposed and uncomfortable due to scenes that couldn’t be removed, leading to an incident where she was yelled at and left the set in tears.
Ferguson carefully avoided disclosing the identity of the co-star but described the verbal abuse, saying, “You call yourself an actor?… I told them to ‘f*ck off.’ My goal is to reach a tennis ball. I wish to never see you once more.”
The actress clarified that prominent figures like Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise were not involved in the incident, debunking any potential rumors. However, she shared her disappointment at the lack of support from executives on set, recounting an encounter where she stood up against the disrespectful co-star but felt unsupported by producers.
