Celebrity (usartical)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Furious disagreement among “The Real Housewives” stars may have been inevitable given the apparent attempt to make the franchise more peaceful.Leah McSweeney, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of New York City,” filed a complaint against the show’s producers, Bravo, and the network’s leader, Andy Cohen, according to a report published by Page Six last week.          Kelly Bensimon attends the Eckhaus Latta fashion show. page six

She said in court documents, among other things, that producers had started to see the episode known as “Scary Island,” in which Kelly Bensimon, another former student, showed signs of instability and detachment from reality, as the epitome of entertaining television.

According to McSweeney’s claims in the documents, the producers targeted her as a possible Bensimon replacement and tried to undermine her in an effort to create scenes as crazy as those in “Scary Island” despite being aware of her substance abuse problems and mental health problems.Page Six is now informed by a displeased Bensimon that she wishes McSweeney to keep her out of her feud with Bravo. She said to us, “I just like facts; I’m not angry.” I believe that people ought to stick to the truth.  Leah McSweeney attends the Mythical Games NFT.NYC event. page six

According to Bensimon, the lawsuit suggests that she was either high on drugs or experiencing a mental health episode at the time of the famed Season 3 incidents. She maintains that she had only consumed a small amount of wine with ice—her favorite beverage at the time—and that her mental state was perfect. She also believes that the lawsuit suggests that Bravo or its producers exploited her, as McSweeney alleges.Bensimon said to us, “I’m nobody’s victim; I’m not a victim.”

“There’s no way I could be as successful as I am in high-end real estate if I could be made a victim,” the former model, who is currently a broker with Douglas Elliman, continued. She claimed to have given the island its name and given it the moniker “Scary Island.” She also revealed to us that she had personally decided to “cut” when she thought a scene was going nowhere during filming, and that she had chosen to fly home when she thought the shoot was becoming a little too stressful.Kelly Bensimon walks down the street. page six

She labels an episode of reality TV one of the most iconic moments ever, and she appears to take offense at the idea that it only takes a couple tequila shots to make it that way.She added that a large portion of her real estate clientele are former Bravo coworkers. Additionally, she assured us that the well-known sequences will remain unchanged since “they’re part of my trajectory.”

Bensimon claims she doesn’t “currently” have anything new in the works with the network, despite having recently wrapped up filming the spinoff “Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip Legacy.”McSweeney is “trying to use me to get something for herself,” she informed us.

The lawsuit cites Bensimon’s remarks regarding the “Scary Island” excursion from Dave Quinn’s book “Not All Diamonds and Rosé,” which Bravo has approved.Bensimon departed the vacation “after [producers] told her that she could not,” according to the docs.According to the book, she stated, “I was filming six days a week, from the very beginning to the very end. I filmed all the time, and I thought I was doing great.” It was among my greatest years. Andy Cohen speaks onstage during The Real Housewives of New York.page six

However, my agent told me that “[The producers] are quite upset with you and are unsure if they will welcome you back. There was a lot of hostility and they threatened to cancel me if I didn’t go on the trip; I’m not sure why I felt under so much pressure. That’s the reason I claimed to be compelled when speaking on the Bravo cast reunion program at the conclusion of the season.

This is just another instance of “Real Housewives” loudly taking sides in the lawsuit. It should come as no surprise that celebrities who are currently on the network’s payroll seem to support it, while former celebrities—many of whom had negative experiences with the network—support McSweeney.A McSweeney representative opted not to respond.
