The “dorky” side of Kristen Stewart was seen on the set of Love Lies Bleeding.
Twilight alum Rose Glass, 33, is described by director Rose Glass to PEOPLE as having a “good sense of humor” and being “kind of dorky in a really lovely way.”According to Glass, who co-wrote the movie with Weronika Tofilska, “given how super famous she is and considering the sort of surreal, strange life she must have had, she’s about as grounded and cool a person as you could be, given all that.”The Saint Maud director continues, “She’s very focused and unpretentious and just good fun.”
Oscar nominated Stewart plays Lou in Love Lies Bleeding, an 80s drama about a gym manager who stays quiet until she develops feelings for a bodybuilder named Jackie (Katy O’Brian). The couple’s love and devotion to one another are put to the test when they become entangled in crimes involving Lou Sr. (Ed Harris), Lou’s estranged father. Jena Malone and Dave Franco are also in the cast.
Costar Stewart, according to O’Brian, was “laid back” and “freaking stoked” about the New Mexico filming. The actress from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania says, “I feel like unless you’ve lived under a rock, you know who Kristen Stewart is, so I knew who she was.” “Generally speaking, you never know what a person in the spotlight for so long is going to do; will they act like a diva or something else? She was quite laid back and kind of kept to herself.”
“What excited me the most, and surprised me the most, was how excited she was for this project,” O’Brian adds. “When someone’s been doing this for 20-plus years and is still really excited and passionate about something, that gives me hope for the next 10-plus years that I hopefully get to be in the business.”
“That was refreshing, fun, and cool,” she continued.
