(usartical) Asta Jonasson claims in a complaint acquired by USArtical that the actor sexually attacked her in the fall of 2010 while they were filming “Fast Five” in Atlanta. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles on Thursday. A former aide of “Fast & Furious” star Vin Diesel is accusing him of sexual abuse
. The lawsuit claims that Jonasson was employed by the actor’s production firm One Race to perform a variety of tasks for him, including as arranging and going to parties with Diesel and making sure she was close by in pictures whenever the actor went to events without his long-term partner.
In a statement, a lawyer for Jonasson’s legal team, Greenberg Gross, said: “We are honored to stand up for Ms. Jonasson and bring Vin Diesel and those who condoned and concealed his sexual assault accountable. No matter how strong or well-known the defendant is, the law is there to safeguard the rights of those who have been harmed. Workplace sexual harassment will never end as long as prominent men are shielded from responsibility. ” Vin Diesel’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, of Los Angeles, stated in a statement that his client “categorically denies this claim in its entirety.”
Diesel allegedly started to grope her breasts, kiss her chest, and run his hands up her waist and upper legs, including her inner thighs, after she managed to flee and urged him to stop.
Although Jonasson was terrified to “forcibly refuse her superior” in order to protect her safety and her work, she shouted and bolted into a hallway as Diesel attempted to undress her.
Diesel allegedly held her against the wall and put her hand on his private parts. The suit claims that although “terrified, Ms. Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate from the sexual assault and avoid angering him,” he engaged in a sexual act of masturbation.
After less than two weeks on the job, Diesel’s sister Samantha Vincent, president of One Race, called Jonasson hours later to terminate her, according to the lawsuit.Despite signing a nondisclosure agreement upon accepting the job, Jonasson was able to pursue the claims because of two laws:
